Our first event was a success! We were so happy to provide something that felt “normal” for these kiddos amidst a pandemic. And to finally be able to open our doors and share what we’ve been working on these past few months was very exciting! We had families travel from Mckeesport, Beaver, and the more local Bethel Park. We were happy to see word of our center is spreading!
The kids made valentine boxes/bags and brought them along with their Valentine cards the day of to pass out to friends. They voted on the ‘Most Creative’ box, did a science project, made pop up valentine’s, played musical hearts, (a version of musical chairs that fit nicely with our social distancing!), and had Valentine themed snacks. I think besides receiving Valentine’s, we all enjoyed the “Would you rather” game the most! We had many laughs and got to know each other a little better.
We are thrilled to get to know many more of you better as we officially open March 1, 2021! We hope you will come visit us that first week on Mon., Wed., or Fri. for our free Open House Week!
